Section 25
Cancellation of registration
: (1) The Registrar shall cancel the registration of a trade union registered in accordance with this Act in the following cases:-
(a) If a trade union applies to the Registrar for cancellation of registration,
(b) If it is proved that the registration of the trade union was done by mistake or fraud,
(c) Acting contrary to this Act or the rules made under this Act.
(2) If the registration of a trade union has to be revoked under the conditions mentioned in clauses (b) and (c) of sub-section (1), the concerned registrar shall give fifteen days' notice to the concerned trade union to submit an open explanation as to why the trade union should be revoked.
(3) If the relevant trade union does not submit an explanation within the period as per sub-section (2) or if the submitted explanation is not satisfactory and in accordance with the law, the Registrar may cancel the registration of such trade union.
