Rule 16
Process of cancellation of party registration
:
(1) When canceling the registration of a political party registered with the Commission in accordance with Rule 15, the party itself has submitted an application to the Election Commission to cancel its registration or has not provided the details to be submitted to the Commission in accordance with the prevailing law for three consecutive years. The commission should give a deadline of one month.
(2) If the statement is not submitted within such deadline or if the statement submitted is not reasonable, the Commission shall cancel the registration of such party.
(3) According to this rule, the Commission shall publish the notice that the registration of the political party has been canceled in the Nepal Gazette.
