Rule 19
Prohibition on Sale of Contaminated, Inferior or Harmful Food
No person shall produce, sell or hold for sale the following food by himself or by his representative:-
(a) Contaminated or substandard food,
(b) Foods containing Brominated Vegetable Oil (VVO),
(c) Khesari, Khesari pulses, Khesari flour and foods containing Khesari,
(d) Fruits cooked artificially with carvite gas (acetylene gas), and
(e) Any other food item prescribed by the Government of Nepal by publishing a notice in the Nepal Gazette.
