Rule 7
Receive daily allowance and hotel accommodation expenses

(1) Officials or employees who are on a visit or work outside their office in the country in connection with government work will receive a daily allowance ………… at the rate as per schedule-2.
(2) Officials or employees who are on tour or work will receive an additional ten percent of the amount of daily allowance they will receive as per sub-rule (1) when they visit a district as mentioned in Schedule-4.
(3) Officials or employees who go to a place where bus or other public transportation facilities are available and return on the same day for government work shall receive travel expenses and twenty-five percent of daily allowance for lunch expenses in accordance with this regulation.

(4) Twenty-five percent of the daily allowance received according to sub-rule (1) will be paid on the day he/she arrives at the assigned office after being transferred or promoted, and on the day he/she returns to the office from work. Employees such as chainmen, surveyors and field allowance employees will not receive daily allowance according to this regulation when they are on tour within their working area.

(6a) If an official or employee has to be assigned to work for a period of more than seven days, the official who ordered the visit may assign the official or employee to work with a reason. However, when an employee of a department or office is assigned to work for a period of more than seven days, the approval of a higher official must be obtained. Fifty percent of the daily allowance as per Schedule-2 will be received only.

(7) Audit doors, investigative work, programs conducted at a reasonable level by the central body that does not have an office at the local level, on-site training, data collection work or housing facilities are not provided. (7a) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-rule (6) or (7), in case of inspection of a subordinate court, the Chief Justice or the judge of the Supreme Court assigned by him and the staff assigned to him or the judge of the Court of Appeal and the staff assigned to him shall have the facility as per sub-rule (1) at most.

(8) Regardless of what is written elsewhere in this rule, an official who has a permanent residence in the name of himself and his family within fifteen kilometers from the headquarters area of ​​Kathmandu Valley or any administrative district or the place where he has to spend the night. And employees will not get daily allowance and hotel accommodation expenses while visiting or working in such areas. However, in the case of travel or work outside the area on foot or public transport, travel expenses, daily allowance ……….. will not be hindered according to this regulation.
(9) Notwithstanding anything written elsewhere in this rule, an employee who has submitted a voluntary application will not be entitled to the benefits provided for in this rule. In this way, the behavior of the employee should be disclosed in the visit order.

(11) Officials or employees enjoying daily travel allowance while on tour in connection with government work shall not receive field allowance, meeting allowance, training allowance, local allowance or any other type of allowance during the period of daily allowance.
