Rule 60
Can withdraw the religious forest
(1) If a religious body, group or community violates the Act and this regulation and action plan, the District Forest Officer may take back the religious forest.
(2) Before making a decision to take back the religious forest as per sub-rule (1), the District Forest Officer shall give a maximum of thirty-five days to the relevant religious body, group or community to submit their clarifications.
(3) The party who is not satisfied with the decision made by the District Forest Officer to take back the religious forest as per sub-rule (1) may appeal to the Director within thirty five days from the date of receiving the notice of such decision and the Director's decision shall be final.
(4) According to this rule, if the District Forest Officer decides to take back the religious forest, then the District Forest Officer shall manage the religious forest again as a religious forest.
