Section 35
Religious Forest

(1) Any religious body, group or community wishing to develop, protect and use a religious site or the national forest around it shall submit an application to the Divisional Forest Officer to disclose the area of ​​such forest, four forts, activities to be carried out in such forest and other details as specified.
(2) If an application is received as per sub-section (1), the Divisional Forest Officer may, after making necessary inquiries, hand over the forest to such a religious body, group or community as a religious forest, as requested by the applicant or in addition to it. Arrangements should be made so that the rights and interests of the traditional consumers will not be affected when the forest is handed over.
