Rule 18A
Special Provisions for Issuance of New Passport

(1) Notwithstanding anything else written in this regulation, if a person has established his record abroad from the name, surname, date of birth or address mentioned in the previously issued passport, the name, surname mentioned in the certificate of his citizenship , if the date of birth or address is mentioned in the passport in a different way, the reason why such common letters (spelling) or numbers do not match can be applied to the department, mission or the relevant district administration office to issue a new passport along with the necessary documents.

( 2) If an application is received according to sub-rule (1), the concerned district administration office or delegation shall send the details of the application to the department. A new passport can be issued by correcting the details.

(4) When issuing a new passport as per sub-rule (3), a fee as per schedule-4 will be charged.
