(1) Any person or organization wishing to register a private forest shall submit an application to the concerned local level along with the recommendation of the Divisional Forest Office or Sub-Divisional Forest Office for private forest registration.
(2) If any application is received according to sub-section (1), the relevant local level will register the private forest and issue a certificate after necessary investigation.
(3) According to sub-section (2), the local level shall inform the concerned division forest office about the registration of private forest.
(4) Private forests under this Act shall not be nationalized.
