(1) The Government of Nepal may make rules to carry out the purpose of this Act. The following arrangements can be made:- 

(a) Food analysis or research laboratory and its procedures and the qualifications of experts or officials of that laboratory.

(b) Arrangements for food inspectors and Regarding his rights and duties,

(c) Regarding the work, duties, rights, obligations and other procedures of the Food Standards Committee,

(d) Nepal …………. In relation to putting a certain type of label on the product or seller of any food produced in the country,

(e) In relation to determining the extent to which color, fragrance, seasoning or any other thing can be mixed in the food,

>

(f) In relation to other necessary arrangements to be adopted to maintain the proper level of food. Amended by the Republic Strengthening and Certain Nepal Laws Amendment Act, 2066.

Note:- (a) Date and place of enforcement of the Act:-

1. The Food Act, 2023 will be applicable in the following districts from the date 2029.9.1 and the notice published in the Nepal Gazette dated 2029.8.19:- In Kathmandu district- Kalimati Village Development Committee, Bhimsengola Village Development Committee, Mahadevasthan Village Development Committee, Pashupati Village Development Committee, Dallu Village Development Committee, Bhagwan Sthan Village Viska Committee, Chawhil Village Development Committee, in Lalitpur District - Lalitpur Municipality, in Bhaktapur District - Bhaktapur Municipality.

2. Food Act, 2023 in the following municipal areas starting from 2030.6.1 Notice published in Nepal Gazette dated 2030.6.29:- Bhadrapur Municipality, Biratnagar Municipality, Janakpur Municipality and Birganj Municipality.

3. The Food Act, 2023 is applicable to the entire area of ​​the following districts. Date of publication in Nepal Gazette - 2031.6.28:- (1) Kathmandu (2) Lalitpur (3) Bhaktapur (4) Parsa (5) Makwanpur (6) Dhanusha (7) Morang (8) Sunsari and (9) Jhapa.

4. Food Act, 2023Date 2032.1.11 to be applicable to all areas of Rupandehi and Banke districts, notice published in Nepal Gazette dated 2032.8.22

5. Food Act, 2023 dated 2033.12.1 to be applicable in all areas of Kaski, Syangja, Palpa and Kapilvastu districts, notice published in Nepal Gazette dated 2033.7.16

6. Food Act, 2023 dated 2035.2.1 to be applicable in all areas of Ilam, Saptari, Bara, Rohatat, Chitwan and Kavrepalanchok districts, notice published in Nepal Gazette dated 2035.1.25

7. Food Act, 2023 dated 2038.10.19 to be applicable in Sirha, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Nawalparasi, Dang, Bardia, Kailali, Kanchanpur, Baitadi and Darchula districts, notice published in Nepal Gazette dated 2039.4.11

8. Food Act, 2023 in Gorkha, Dhading, Nuwakot, Dhankuta and Surkhet districts is prescribed to start from the date of publication of notice in all areas. Notice published in Nepal Gazette 2045.3.20
