In this Act, unless the subject or context otherwise requires,–
(a) “foodstuff” means any food or drink ordinarily consumed by humans, unprocessed, semi-processed, processed or manufactured; and that term also refers to spices, food additives, colors or fragrances used in food and drink. ) Foodstuffs kept or prepared in a rotten or dirty or poisonous condition so as to be injurious to health, (2) Foodstuffs made from any diseased or diseased animal, bird or noxious plant in whole or in part so as to be unfit for human consumption, (3) Any Foods that may cause health damage by exceeding the maximum limit prescribed for food additives, preservatives, endogenous or exogenous chemicals or pesticides. It means food in any of the following conditions:- (1) food in which the quantity of the main part has been reduced or any other substance has been mixed so as to be inferior to the natural quality of a food, but the name of such mixed food in food containing two or more substances. And if the quantity is clearly mentioned and does not harm the health, then such food is not considered low quality food. (2) Foodstuffs whose quality determined in accordance with Section 7 or the minimum required quality specified in the rules or orders made under this Act or higher than the maximum quality specified in this Act.
(d) "Prescribed" or "as prescribed" means prescribed or prescribed in the rules or orders made under this Act.
