Rule 7
Duties, Duties and Powers of Election Officer

(1) In addition to the work, duties and rights mentioned elsewhere in the Act and these regulations, other work, duties and rights of the Election Officer shall be as follows:-
(a) To publish in his office the list of polling stations received from the Commission (b) Appointing Assistant Election Officer and other staff as required by the office of the Election Officer (c) According to Clause (b) of Rule 5, on the basis of the details received from the office of the Chief Electoral Officer, polling officers, assistant polling officers and other supporting staff shall be appointed and assigned to the polling station,
(d) Accepting and understanding the ballot papers and other election materials provided by the commission (e) To orient the Assistant Election Officer, Polling Officer and Assistant Polling Officer on the election and voting related process. (f) To make the election materials including ballots received from the commission available to the polling officer (G) Coordinating with the local administration for the necessary security arrangements for the polling station and the counting place and the staff employed in that work,
(h) On the day of the polling, various mobile teams will also be deployed to monitor, inspect and supervise the polling work at the polling station. (i) After the completion of the voting process, keep safe the ballot boxes received from the polling station at the designated place for counting votes,
(j) To count the votes after collecting the ballot boxes from all the polling stations within the respective constituencies (k) After the commencement of counting of votes, from time to time inform about the result of counting of votes at the place and send the details to the commission,
(l) Announcing the election results after the counting of votes is over (d) After the completion of the election, to send the result to the election office, the office of the chief election officer and the commission,
(l) To submit the remaining election materials received from the polling officer to the election office (n) writing expenses as mentioned in the financial guidelines approved by the Commission andnbsp;accounting,
(p) Conducting an internal audit of all election-related expenses and submitting all related details to the Commission (th) To make necessary arrangements to make the election supervision orderly and dignified,
(D) Completing all the tasks according to the election program subject to the prevailing legal provisions and the orders or instructions given by the Election Commission from time to time.
(2) It shall be the duty of the Assistant Election Officer to assist the Election Officer in the work related to the election in accordance with the Act and these Regulations under the direct direction of the Election Officer.
