(1) Election symbols to be given to parties and independent candidates for election shall be as determined by the Commission. (2) When election symbols are given to party candidates according to this rule, the election symbols determined for such party as per sub-rule (1) shall be given. (3) No one other than the candidate of such party shall be allowed to use the election symbol determined for the party according to sub-rule (1). (4) When awarding the election symbol to an independent candidate according to this rule, the name of the candidate from the group of election symbols determined for the independent candidate according to sub-rule (1) shall be used. Candidates should provide the election symbol chosen by giving priority based on alphabetical order.
