(1) Parties registered according to Section 4 who wish to participate in the election must complete the procedures prescribed by the Commission and register with the Commission. But the parties that have registered for the purpose of the respective elections do not have to register the party again to participate in the by-elections.
(2) When submitting an application for registration in accordance with sub-section (1), the party shall submit the details mentioned in sub-section (3) of Article 269 of the Constitution, the annual audit report and other documents specified by the Commission.
(3) The Commission shall publish the list of political parties registered in accordance with this section in the Nepal Gazette.
(4) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-sections (1) and (2), in the case of elections for which the election date has been announced at the time of commencement of this Act, it shall be as provided by the Commission.
