The Government of Nepal shall appoint the Election Committee. But before setting the date of the election, the government of Nepal should consult the Commission.
(2) In the event that the House of Representatives is dissolved in accordance with Clause (7) of Article 76 of the Constitution, the President shall, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, set the date of the election to be held within six months of the dissolution of the House of Representatives.
(3) If it is not possible to complete the election in one phase on the date mentioned in sub-section (1) or (2), separate dates can also be set to complete the election in two or more phases so that the election starts from that date.
(4) In accordance with this section, the notification of the election date shall be published in the Nepal Gazette.
