10. Nepal Ayurveda Medical Council

Nepal Ayurveda Medical Council will be established at the national level in order to determine the necessary standards of Ayurveda education and service as well as registration of doctors, technical, administrative, supervision and evaluation of dispensaries. Objectives

Specially in addition to the work done by ordinary Ayurveda dispensaries under the district, technical and administrative supervision of dispensaries, evaluation and coordination between dispensaries as well as by mobilization of local herbal and other resources. The main objective of the District Ayurveda Health Center will be to provide services as a model organization by manufacturing more medicines.

Treating patients who come to the health center and are sent from the Ayurveda dispensary. . Conducting some services of Panchakarma. . To distribute medicines received from Nepal government in an orderly manner. . Prepare and distribute more medicines from local herbs. . Creating a model herb garden in the premises of the health center and establishing inter-institutional coordination with the governmental and non-governmental agencies related to medicinal herbs such as forestry, agriculture, community forestry, etc. . Cost of local herbs and preparation of herbarium. . To evaluate the technical and administrative supervision of Ayurveda dispensaries under the district and to assist in other programs. . Providing herbal and patient data at the center. . To do according to other departmental instructions. Job Description of Ayurveda Dispensary

Purpose

The main purpose of the dispensary is to make medicine and provide services in the dispensary itself to make health services more self-sufficient, especially by mobilizing local herbs and other resources.

To distribute the medicines sent by Nepal government in an orderly manner. . Production, collection, conservation, promotion of herbs available in local sources as well as excessive use of them as Ayurveda medicines. . Setting up a herb garden in the premises of the dispensary and training local traditional health worker Dhami Zhankri and social workers on the collection, conservation and promotion of herbs as well as their greater use in Ayurveda medicine and forming coordination committees with government and non-government bodies at the local level. . Prepare details and samples of local herbs and send them to the relevant agencies. . In particular, from the dispensaries located in the areas where there is no health post, the other services provided by the health post will also be conducted. . Arranging preventive measures during epidemics of infectious diseases. .Sending the monthly data of patients to the relevant agency. . To do according to other departmental instructions.
