(1) In order to implement the purpose of this Act, the Government of Nepal shall establish the Nepal Quality Office. The full name of this office in English is Nepal Bureau of Standards and its abbreviation is N.B.S. will remain.
(2) Except as written elsewhere in this Act, the work, duties and powers of the Nepal Quality Office shall be as follows:-
(a) After the quality has been determined by the council, to issue a license or certificate of quality to use the proof-mark,
(b) To inspect and give necessary technical advice and instructions in relation to improving the quality of any material process or service,
(c) appointing or appointing inspectors,
(d) renewing, suspending or canceling licences,
(e) To specify the conditions necessary for the granting of the licence, to make the confession or approval,
(f) To carry out the administrative work of the council.
