(1) If one-fourth of the members of the Assembly who are currently in office submit a written application to the Chancellor that the Vice-Chancellor or the Chairman of the Service Commission has not fulfilled their duties, an inquiry committee consisting of two members of the Assembly will be formed under the chairmanship of the Vice-Chancellor.
(2) The committee formed according to sub-section (1) shall conduct the necessary investigation and submit its report to the Assembly.
(3) In the report submitted in accordance with sub-section (2), if the Vice-Chancellor or the Chairman of the Service Commission recommends that the majority of the entire number of members of the Assembly has not fulfilled the obligations according to his position, he shall be removed from the position of Chancellor. But they will not be deprived of the opportunity to submit their explanation before recommending their removal from the post.
