In this Act, unless the context or the context otherwise requires,–
(a) "Hospital" shall mean a hospital established under section 16.
(b) "Hospital Management Committee" shall mean the Hospital Management Committee constituted as per Section 17.
(c) "Vice-Chancellor" shall mean the Vice-Chancellor as per Section 20.
(d) "Executive Council" means the Executive Council constituted as per Section 11.
(e) "Chancellor" means the Chancellor as per Section 18.
(f) "Dean" means Dean as per section 21.
(g) "Prescribed" or "as prescribed" means prescribed or prescribed in the rules made under this Act.
(h) "Director" means the director as per section 22.
(i) "Backward Area" shall mean the area designated as per prevailing law.
(j) "Establishment" means the Pokhara Institute of Health Sciences established in accordance with Section 3.
(k) "Academic Council" means the Academic Council constituted as per Section 9.
(l) "Ministry" means the Ministry of Health and Population (d) "Teacher" means a person appointed to teach and research in the institution.
(l) "Educational institution" means an educational institution established in accordance with section 15.
(n) "Assembly" means the assembly constituted as per section 7.
(t) "Vice-Chancellor" shall mean the Vice-Chancellor as per section 19.
(h) "Filling committee" means the filling committee constituted as per section 13.
