Section 2
Definition
In this Act, unless the subject or the context otherwise requires,
(a) "Establishment" means the National Judicial Establishment established in accordance with Section 3.
(b) "Council" means the Judicial Establishment Council constituted under Section 6.
(c) "Committee" means the Executive Committee constituted as per Section 9.
(d) "Executive Director" means the Executive Director appointed or appointed in accordance with sub-section (2) of section 17.
(e) "Judicial body" shall mean a court, special court, tribunal or judicial decision-making body established according to the prevailing law and the term also refers to the public prosecutor's office and other bodies related to the field of law and justice.
(f) "Prescribed" or "as prescribed" means prescribed or prescribed in the rules made under this Act.
