: In this Act, unless the subject or the context otherwise requires,-
(a) "Monitoring Committee" means the Monitoring Committee as per Section 30.
(b) "Licence" means the license granted under section 5.
(c) "Licensee" shall mean a company licensed under Section 5.
(d) "Company" shall mean a company established in accordance with the prevailing law and the word shall also refer to the founder and director of such company.
(e) "Committee of Directors" means the Committee of Directors as per Section 27.
(f) "Prescribed or prescribed" means prescribed or prescribed in the rules made under this Act.
(g) "Inspection Officer" shall mean the inspection officer prescribed under section 21.
(h) "Bank guarantee" shall mean a bank guarantee issued by a bank designated by the department to be paid in cash upon demand by the department.
(i) "Ministry" means the Ministry of Commerce (j) "Direct seller or distributor of goods" shall mean a person or representative of at least eighteen years of age appointed by the licensee to carry out marketing or market promotion related to the direct sale of goods.
(k) "Direct sale or distribution of goods" shall mean the sale or distribution of goods directly to consumers by the licensee from a manufacturing company or distribution company.
(l) "Department" means Department of Commerce.
