Unless the subject or context requires otherwise, in this Act,-

(1) “Council” shall mean the Nepal Health Practitioners Council established under section 3.

( 2) "Chairman" shall mean the chairman of the Council.

(3) "Member" shall mean the member of the Council and the term shall also refer to the Chairman.

(4) "Health Profession" It refers to the treatment, diagnosis, prevention or any action related to the health profession of the patient.

(5) "Health practitioner" means a person engaged in the health profession after obtaining the specified minimum qualification.

(6) "Registration book" means the registration book established to register the names of health professionals under this Act.

(7) "Registered health practitioner" means health professionals whose names are registered in the registration book.< /p>

(8) “Committee” shall mean the committee constituted under section 12.

(9) “Registrar” shall mean the person appointed or appointed under section 13.

(10) "Prescribed" or "as prescribed" means as prescribed or prescribed in the rules or regulations made under this Act.
