In this Act, unless the subject or context otherwise requires, –
(a) "Executive Committee" means the Executive Committee as per Section 9.
(b) "Prescribed or prescribed" means prescribed or prescribed in the rules made under this Act.
(c) "Board of Directors" means the Board of Directors as per Section 6.
(d) "Reconstruction" shall mean economic, social or physical development, renovation and restoration work done in a sustainable, thorough and planned manner after the damage caused by the earthquake.
(e) "Council" shall mean the National Reconstruction Consultative Council as per section 5.
(f) "Chief Executive Officer" means the Chief Executive Officer appointed under section 11 Bamojim.
(g) "Authority" means the National Reconstruction Authority established under section 3.
(h) "Earthquake" means the earthquake that occurred on 12 Baisakh of the year Samvat 2072 and the subsequent aftershocks.
(i) "Earthquake-affected area" shall mean any area designated by the Government of Nepal by publishing a notice in the Nepal Gazette stating that there is a plan or program of a special nature for the rehabilitation of displaced persons and reconstruction of physical, social and archaeological structures due to extensive human or material damage due to the earthquake.
(j) "Secretary" means the Secretary of the Authority of Section 13 Bamojim.
