In this Act, unless the subject or the context otherwise requires,–
(a) “liquor” means an alcoholic beverage prepared by fermenting grains, fruits or any other starchy substance by biochemical process or otherwise; means a substance and that term includes liquor, brandy, brandy, whisky, rum, gin, brandy, vodka, beer, wine, sherry, champagne, cider, perry, mead, malt, industrial alcohol, rectified spirit, malt spirit, still spirit, includes denatured spirit and head's spirit.
(b) “Production” means the fermentation, heating, cooking of substances necessary for the preparation of alcohol or the mixing of any substance with which such substance imparts flavor or taste or for the preparation of alcohol; means all or any method or act to be adopted. Permits granted for production, sale, distribution, export or import of alcohol shall be referred to as follows.
(d) “Prescribed” or “as prescribed” shall mean prescribed or prescribed in the rules made under this Act.
