: Since it is desirable to control the production, sale, distribution and export of liquor including imports in order to maintain the morals, health, convenience and economic interests of the general public, this Act has been enacted with the advice and consent of the National Panchayat from Shri 5th Maharajadhiraj Birendra Bir Bikram Shahdev.
