2. Definition:

Unless the subject or context requires otherwise, in this order,-

(a) “Commission” means the National Planning Commission.
(b) "Chairman" means the Chairman of the Commission.
(c) "Vice-Chairman" means the Vice-Chairman of the Commission.
(d) "Member" shall mean a member of the Commission and the term shall also refer to the Vice-Chairman and Member-Secretary of the Commission.
(e) "Council" means the National Development Council (f) "Secretariat" means the Secretariat of the Commission (g) "Employee" means the employees of various services of the Government of Nepal working in the Commission.
(h) "Prescribed" or "as prescribed" means as prescribed in the guidelines or procedures issued by the Commission under this order.
