Unless the subject or context requires otherwise, in this Act-

(a) “Foreign state” means a foreign state having diplomatic relations with Nepal.

(b) "Mission" means a mission appointed by a foreign state to carry out diplomatic work in Nepal.

(c) "Head of mission" means a person appointed by a foreign state to act as the head of its mission with the approval of the Government of Nepal.

(d) “Diplomatic staff” means the staff of the mission in the diplomatic post of the mission.

(e) “Diplomatic representative” means the head of the mission or the diplomatic staff of the mission.

(f) "Administrative and technical staff" means the employees of the commission who do the administrative and technical work of the commission. p>

(h) “family” in relation to a diplomatic representative shall mean the members of his family who are part of the household of the head of the mission or the staff of the mission and who are with him and under his shelter. means any house owned by anyone, including the residence of the head of the mission, or any part of it used for any work of the mission, and also the land occupied by it. Private servants who do household work should be remembered.
