Unless the context or context requires otherwise, in this Act,

(a) “child” means a child who has not completed 12 years of age.

(b) "Local area" means the area under the control of a municipality or rural municipality.

(c) "Primary vaccination" means the first successful vaccination of a child.

(d) "Vulnerable child" It means a child who has not had chicken pox and has not been vaccinated or a child who has not been successfully vaccinated within 3 years.

(e) "Vaccine" means a vaccination to prevent a child from getting chicken pox.

(f) ) "vaccination place" means a vaccination place under the Health Department of the Government of Nepal.

(g) "vaccination area" means a local area or a part of a local area divided under this Act for the purpose of vaccination.

(h) “Vaccination person” means a person appointed under this Act or a non-governmental person licensed by the Government of Nepal to carry out vaccination, this term also includes the Superintendent of Vaccination.

(j) “Local Officer” shall mean an officer appointed by the Government of Nepal and shall mean the Chief District Officer unless such officer is appointed. It should be understood as prescribed or prescribed in the rules.
