In this Act, unless the subject or the context otherwise requires,–
(a) "Chairman" means the Chairman of the Council.
(b) "Officer" means the following office-bearers appointed on the recommendation of the Council:-
(1) The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court,
(2) The Chief Commissioner and Commissioners of the Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission,
(3) Auditor General,
(4) Chairman and members of the Public Service Commission,
(5) Chief Election Commissioner and Election Commissioners of the Election Commission (6) Chairman and members of the National Human Rights Commission (7) Chairman and members of the National Natural Resources and Finance Commission (8) Chairman and members of the National Women's Commission (9) Chairman and members of the National Dalit Commission (10) Chairman and members of the National Inclusion Commission (11) Chairman and members of the Tribal Commission (12) Chairman and members of the Madhesi Commission,
(13) Chairman and members of the Tharu Commission,
(14) Chairman and members of the Muslim Commission.
(c) "Council" shall mean the Constitutional Council formed in accordance with Article 284 of the Constitution.
(d) "Constitution" means the Constitution of Nepal.
(e) "Secretary" means the Secretary of the Council (f) "Secretariat" means the Secretariat of the Council as per Section 8.
(g) "Member" means a member of the Council.
