2. Definition:

Unless the subject or context requires otherwise, in this order,-

(a) “Commission” means the Far West Development Commission established under section 3.
(b) "Chairman" means the Chairman of the Commission.
(c) "Member" shall mean a member of the Commission and this term shall also refer to the Chairman and Member Secretary of the Commission.
(d) "Council" means Far West Development Council as per section 9.
(e) "Secretariat" means the Secretariat of the Commission (f) "Far West Region" means Doti, Achham, Bajura, Bajhang, Dadeldhura, Baitadi and Darchula districts of Far West.
(g) "Executive Director" shall mean the Executive Director as per section 21.
(h) "Employee" means the employee working in the Commission.
(j) "Prescribed" or "as prescribed" means as prescribed or prescribed in the guidelines or procedures issued by the Commission under this order.
