Unless the subject or the context requires otherwise, in this regulation:-

(a) "Essential daily consumables" means salt, oil, sugar, rice and other food grains, kerosene and oil consumed in daily life. Gas should be mentioned and that word also refers to other essential daily consumables that are consumed in daily life.
(b) "Monitoring Committee" means the Shop Management and Monitoring Committee constituted as per Rule 7.
(c) "Act" means the Cooperatives Act, 2048.
(d) "Shop" means a co-operative shop with reasonable prices operated by a co-operative society.
(e) "Committee" means the Coordinating Committee as per Rule 6.
(f) "Cooperative Society" shall mean a cooperative society registered under the Act.
