Section 2
Definition
In this Act, unless the subject or context requires otherwise,-
(a) "Permit" means a permit under section 9.
(b) "licensed organization" means an organized organization that provides drinking water and sanitation services, and that term means organizations that provide drinking water and sanitation services, survey, construct, operate and manage projects or service systems and public, institutional, commercial and It also refers to the service provider who has obtained a license for industrial use or to do so in accordance with this Act.

(h) "Public use of potable water" means the use of drinking water distributed to consumers from publicly connected pipes and the term also refers to the use of drinking water in public places in emergency situations including fire control.
(i) "Institutional use of potable water" means the use of drinking water used by government, public, commercial or commercial organizations and the term also refers to water used by industrial organizations other than for industrial purposes.
