Rule 2
Definition
: In this regulation, unless the subject or the context requires otherwise,-
(a) "Investigating Officer" means the unit constituted under section 23 of the Act to conduct an investigation into the allegations of delinquency against children or the staff assigned to do so.
(b) "Indictment" means the indictment prepared on the grounds mentioned in Schedule-1 or Schedule-2 of the Civil Code of Criminal Procedure, 2074.
(c) "Complaint" means a complaint filed against a child on the charge of a criminal act and that word means Schedule-1 of the Civil Criminal Procedure Code, 2074. Or it also refers to the charge sheet filed in connection with the offense under schedule-2 or the report in connection with other cases.
(d) “Act”. This means the Children Act, 2075.
(e). "Juvenile Court" means the Juvenile Court constituted in the District Court in accordance with sub-section (3) of Section 30 of the Act.
(f) "Committee" means the Central Juvenile Justice Committee under Rule 30.
