(1) If the period of the license expires, the investment project as per the license and related real estate, machines, equipment and structures shall be transferred to the Government of Nepal in the current condition as written in the contract.
(2) The ownership of the project and related items shall belong to the Government of Nepal as per sub-rule (1). (3) The project transferred according to sub-rule (2) will be conducted as determined by the Government of Nepal.
(4) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (3), if the concerned investor wishes to operate the project transferred in accordance with that sub-rule, the Government of Nepal shall, after consulting with the Board, enter into a project operation agreement with such investor for that purpose and allow the project to be operated for the period specified in such agreement.
