Rule 11
Work, Duties and Powers of the Council
The work, duties and powers of the Council shall be as follows:-
(a) Protecting and managing conservation areas and conducting the day-to-day administration of the council,
(b) To prepare a management plan for the protection and management of conservation areas,
(c) Implementation of the approved management plan (d) To approve the action plan submitted by the committee (e) To mobilize the committee to carry out conservation, management and community development work in conservation areas,
(f) prescribing fees for providing resources or conservation services within conservation areas,
(G) To manage or arrange tourism in the conservation area within the conservation area (h) To distribute funds to the committee to conduct the programs according to the action plan,
(i) Regularly monitoring and evaluating the conservation and community development programs conducted by the committee and giving instructions as needed (j) Raising resources to implement the approved action plan,
(k) To protect and promote the natural, religious, cultural or other similar important heritages within the protection area,
(l) Designing and implementing special programs for the upliftment of women, tribals, Dalits and disadvantaged groups,
(d) To publicize the Council's annual program, income and expenditure statements and audit reports at the meetings of consumer groups and committees and provide a copy of the same to the ministries and departments,
(d) Necessary coordination with district and local level non-governmental organizations and government agencies involved in conservation and community development,
(n) To carry out other works necessary for the greater good of the conservation area.
