Rule 76
Functions, Duties / Powers of the Council
(1) Work, duties mentioned elsewhere in this rule. And in addition to the rights, the other work, duties and rights of the council will be as follows:-
(a) Providing suggestions to the Government of Nepal, provincial governments and local levels to arrange necessary policies, laws, plans, programs and institutional mechanisms for the respect, protection, promotion and fulfillment of children's rights, (b) development, operation and management of the national information system related to children and strengthening,
(c) To approve the long-term policy, plan and annual program and budget of the council, d). Coordination and implementation of policies and laws related to children issued by the Government of Nepal. Cooperate and periodically review the implementation status and submit a report to the Ministry, g) Compilation and review of the programs related to children run by the Government of Nepal and make recommendations, c) Facilitate the preparation of periodic reports under international treaties on child rights to which Nepal is a party, c) Provincial government And to coordinate and facilitate with provincial and local child rights committees for the preparation of annual reports including monitoring, evaluation and review of children's programs run by the local level,
(h) To enhance the capacity of stakeholders in relation to the protection and promotion of child rights,
(i) Publish the "National Status Report" related to children annually based on the annual reports and details received from the provincial and local child rights committees,
(N) Arranging, organizing, mobilizing, training and capacity building of the Council's office, staff positions and manpower and financial resources,
(k) With the approval of the Ministry of Finance of the Government of Nepal, for the promotion of child protection and child rights, mobilize the aid received from bilateral and multilateral development partners and international organizations and conduct programs as needed, g) Necessary coordination and service delivery for child protection during disasters.Monitoring the situation, carrying out rescue and protection of children,
(D) To make the local level child friendly promotional and . Conducting facilitation programs,
(d) rescuing, repatriating, family identification and reunification and rehabilitation of Nepali children who are victims of trafficking, trafficking, violence, exploitation and orphans outside the country,
(n) Conducting a special national campaign for child protection and promotion of child rights by determining appropriate priority in the approved plans, annual policies and programs of the Government of Nepal,
(h) To coordinate and facilitate the operation and management of the Children's Correctional Home.
(2) The council may delegate some of the powers granted to it according to sub-rule (1) to the vice-chairman or member-secretary of the council as required.
