(1) The inspector shall, after receiving the sample of the consignment taken in accordance with sub-rule (3) of Rule 11, test it in the laboratory by adopting one or more of the following test methods:-
(a) General examination: To find out whether it is infected by the enemy, do a general examination by looking at the eyes. (b) Washing test: To find out if there is any contamination, mix the necessary chemicals with clean water and wash the sample.
(c) Screening test: To find out if nematodes are present, test using soli and filter paper in clean water.
(d) Microscopic examination: Testing using a microscope to identify pests.
(e) X-ray test: Testing using X-ray machine to detect internal infections that may occur in seeds.
(f) Incubation test: To find out if there is any mold or germ (bacteria), keep it in the incubation machine for the required time with a suitable medium.
(g) Planting test: To find out whether the seeds and plants have internal infection, such seeds and plants should be planted and tested at the post-entry quarantine site.
(2) In case of testing other items except those mentioned in sub-rule (1), the item to be tested should be tested and disinfected or treated as necessary.
