(1) For the purposes of this Act, the Director General of the Department shall be the Central Registrar (Registrar).
(2) The staff authorized to work as the administrative head of the ward office of each rural municipality or municipality, the officer assigned to perform registration-related work in the Nepali Mission abroad and other officials designated by the Director General shall work as the local registration officer (registrar) under the authority of the central registrar.
(3) Each ward office and other offices designated by the Ministry will act as local registration offices for registration management.
