(1) After the completion of the counting of votes of all the polling stations where votes have been cast in any constituency under the first-past-the-post election system, the election officer shall prepare a table of vote counting and publish the election results as prescribed and a copy of the results table shall be sent to the commission immediately.
(2) When the election officer publishes the results of the election according to sub-section (1), he shall declare that the candidate who receives the most votes has been elected and give such candidate a certificate as prescribed by the Commission.
(3) According to sub-section (1), after publishing the results of the election, the election officer shall prepare a report containing the specified details related to the election and send it to the Chief Election Officer and the Chief Election Officer to the Commission as soon as possible.
