(1) The following ministers shall be remunerated as follows:-
(a) Prime Minister – Monthly Rs. 9,000. –
(b) Deputy Prime Minister – monthly Rs. 7,500. – (c) Minister – Monthly Rs. 7,000. –  
(d) Minister of State – Monthly Rs. 6,700. –
(e) Assistant Minister – monthly Rs. 5,800. –
(2) If the Government of Nepal deems it necessary, it may change the monthly remuneration of the ministers by publishing a notice in the Nepal Gazette.
(3) If a minister dies while holding the position of minister or his resignation is accepted or the council of ministers is dissolved or if he does not continue in the position of minister in any other way, he will be given an additional salary of one month in addition to the salary he was getting until the day he held the position of minister.
(4) The remuneration or additional remuneration received by the minister as per sub-section (3) shall be given to him or to the person he wishes according to the circumstances. In case of death of the minister, if he does not have a will or if the person he wanted is no longer alive, the amount of such remuneration will be given to his next of kin.
