(1) To provide relief to victims of crimes, a fund called Victim Relief Fund shall be established.
(2) In the fund set up according to sub-section (1), the government of Nepal shall deposit fifty percent of the amount paid for the fine for the offender who has been convicted for the fine according to the judgment of the court or who should be imprisoned according to the criminal code.
(3) In addition to the amount to be deposited as per subsection (2) in the fund as per sub-section (1), the amount provided as per the law or the amount received from the Government of Nepal or any other source shall also be deposited.
(4) The operation of the fund under sub-section (1), the classification of the victims, the basis of the relief amount to be given to the victims from the fund, the extent of such amount and other procedures related to the distribution process shall be as prescribed.
