Rule 13
Professional conduct

(1) For the purposes of clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 18 of the Act, registered health professionals shall adhere to the following professional conduct while conducting health business:-
(a) Discipline and honesty: Health profession should be done in a disciplined manner with honesty.
(b) Maintaining decency and confidentiality: People who come into contact with the health profession should be treated with decency. You should not express anything you know about someone's personal life or health, except in cases where you have to tell someone according to the prevailing law.
(c) Non-discrimination: When using professional knowledge and skills, no person should be discriminated against on the basis of religion, race, gender and social caste or any other matter.
(D) To do only the work within the responsibility: You have to do only the work or suggestion or recommendation within the field related to the subject you have studied or the knowledge and skills you have acquired. Experts who have acquired the knowledge and competence of the related subject should be recommended for matters that do not fall within their responsibility and work area.
(e) Do not act to harm the health profession :- Apart from the salary allowance and other benefits received for the service, one should not do any unfair financial gain by promoting the professional business or do any improper activity that harms the service of the health profession.
(f) Personal responsibility: Health professionals should do everything they do in the context of business in such a way that they are personally responsible.
(2) It shall be the duty and responsibility of all health professionals to comply with the prescribed professional conduct according to sub-rule (1).
(3) Failure to comply with the prescribed professional conduct as per sub-rule (1) shall be deemed to be a violation of professional conduct.
