Persons in accordance with Section 5 Upon registering the notice of the previous incident, the local registrar will give a free registration certificate to the person specified in sub-section (1) of section 4.

6a. Not to register and issue certificates: (1) Regardless of what is written elsewhere in this Act, personal events including marriages which are automatically annulled according to prevailing laws should not be registered and certificates should not be issued.

(2) If a personal incident is brought to be registered according to sub-section (1), a separate record of that incident shall be kept and submitted to the relevant body or authority to take action according to the prevailing law.

(3) Written in this section Nothing shall adversely affect the registration of the birth of a child born as a result of an automatically voidable marriage.”
