: Since it is desirable to arrange social security funds including provident funds, pension funds and other social security funds for the employees of the Government of Nepal and organized organizations, other employees and self-employed persons, this Act has been made in accordance with Article 93 of the Constitution of Nepal by Shri 5 Maharaj Adhiraj Mahendra Veer Bikram Shahdev.
