: Since it is desirable to organize the Nepal Engineering Council in order to organize the engineering business in Nepal in an effective, systematic and scientific manner and also to register the name of the engineers according to their qualifications, Parliament has made this Act in the twenty-seventh year of the reign of Shri 5th Maharajadhiraj Birendra Bir Bikram Shahdev.
