: Since it is desirable to promote foreign investment and technology transfer to make the economy strong, dynamic and competitive by utilizing the limited capital, human and natural resources in the process of industrialization of the country, Parliament has enacted this Act in the twenty-first year of the reign of Shri 5 Maharajadhiraj Birendra Bir Vikram Shahdev.
