: Since it is desirable to regulate the survey, production, transmission or distribution of electricity to develop electricity and to make electricity service quality and safe, Parliament has made this Act in the twenty-first year of the reign of Shri 5 Maharajadhiraj Birendra Bir Vikram Shahdev.
