: (1) The powers of the Authority shall be as follows:-
(a) Borrowing from a domestic institution bank or individual,
(b) Borrowing from foreign governments or foreign organizations and international organizations,
(c) Collection of electricity tariffs and service charges from customers,
(d) Selling electricity to foreign countries or buying electricity from foreign countries,
(e) To invest funds in the funds of the Authority,
(E1) To control unauthorized consumption of electricity distributed by the authority (f) Purchase of electric power produced by the private sector,
(G) To do all the necessary and necessary work to fulfill his work and duties.
(2) While using the authority under sub-section (1) clauses (b) and (d), the authority shall take the prior approval of the Government of Nepal.
