Rule 5
<br> To approve the schedule for preliminary environmental testing or environmental impact assessment
In the case of a proposal that requires preliminary environmental testing, the proponent shall make a work list in the format as per Schedule-3 for the report and get the work list approved by the relevant body.
(2) In the case of a proposal that requires environmental impact assessment, the proponent shall make a work list in the format of Schedule-4 based on the area determined by the Ministry in accordance with Rule 4 for its report and get the work list approved by the Ministry. However, if a proposer prepares a report of the proposal that requires environmental impact assessment and prepares the zoning and work list according to Rule 4 and sends it to the ministry along with the opinion of the relevant body, the ministry can approve the zoning and work list at once.
(2a) If a supplementary environmental impact assessment of a proposal is required, the proposer shall complete all other procedures as per this regulation, except for the process of determining the area and approving the work list. Explanation: For the purposes of this regulation, supplementary environmental impact assessment means a once-approved environmental impact assessment proposal that has been submitted to partially modify the physical infrastructure, design or form, relocate or modify the structure, or increase the capacity of the forest area or project. The environmental impact assessment to be done should be mentioned.
(3) When approving the work list according to sub-rules (1) and (2), according to the nature of the proposal, the relevant agency or ministry may make general changes or modifications to such work list as necessary.
