(1) Apart from Commander-in-Chief, the authority to promote to other posts of the Nepalese Army shall be given to the following officers on the recommendation of the Promotion Committee:-
(a) Government of Nepal in the rank from Mahasenani to Rathi,
(b) Commander-in-Chief in the rank of Assistant Commander to Commander-in-Chief,
(c) Acting in the post of Chief Subedar,
(d) In the post of Jamdar and Subedar, the corresponding Pritana Pramukh or Bahini Pramukh or Director,
(e) Head of Unit or Head of Office concerned in the position from Pyuth to Hudda.
(2) According to sub-rule (1), the authority authorized to promote may delegate that authority to other agencies or officials as required.
