Rule 33
Promotion Committee

(1) There will be a Promotion Committee as follows to make recommendations for promotion to the following posts of the Nepali Army:-
(a) For Rathi Pada,–
(1) Commander-in-Chief – Chairman
(2) Saniritam Rathi-Member but in the case of Rathi post being vacant, only the Commander-in-Chief will not be hindered from making such a recommendation.
(b) for the above posts,–
(1) Rathi – Chairman
(2) Heads of Departments – Member
(3) One person appointed by the Commander-in-Chief – Member (4) One person above in command – Member
(5) Executive – Member – Secretary
(c) For the post of chief soldier to assistant charioteer,-
(1) Rathi President
(2) Inspector - Member
(3) Executive “Member
(4) Director General of War Operations -Member
(5) Director General of Military Training and Doctrine - Member (6) Director General of Military Intelligence - Member
(7) System, Policy and Planning Director General - Member
(8) Three members appointed by the Commander-in-Chief from among the officers in command. (9) Military Secretary -Member-Secretary
(d) For the posts from Assistant Soldier to Soldier,-
(1) Senior Vice President
(2) Trikshaadhikrat - Member
(3) Executive “Member
(4) Assistant Rathi-Sadasya under the command of the Chief Setapati (5) An assistant charioteer member on the staff designated by the Commander-in-Chief (6) Military Secretary - Member-Secretary
(e) for the posts of Puth, Amaldar, Hudda, Jamdar, Subedar and Chief Subedar,-
(1) Senior officer designated by the Chief Executive Officer in the case of the Department and in the case of other units the senior officer next to the head of the respective unit – Chairman
(2) In the case of Pritna, by the Pritnapati and in the case of other units by the head of the respective unit, the officer or post two persons - member
(3) One person of rank one level higher than the rank to be promoted - Member
(4) Working Officer - Working Rank - Member - Secretary
(2) Sub-rule of Rule 6 of the Meeting of Promotion Committee as per Sub-rule (1). (2) will sit as per the requirement without exceeding the time.
(3) The Commander-in-Chief shall also attach the recommendation of the promotion committee on behalf of the candidate to be promoted from Mahasenani to Rathi post.If not, you will have to send it to the ministry along with your recommendation. When sending such a recommendation, the form as per schedule-7 should also be sent.
(4) If it is necessary to recommend the promotion of a close relative of an official of the promotion committee, another official of the same level should be placed in the promotion committee instead of him. The office bearers of the promotion committee will have to confess as per schedule-8. Explanation: For the purposes of this sub-rule, "near relative" means father, mother, step-mother, husband, wife, own brother, sister-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, son, son-in-law, sister-in-law, sister-in-law, daughter, daughter-in-law, grandson, granddaughter-in-law, granddaughter, grandson-in-law , nephew, niece, niece-in-law, niece-in-law, nephew, niece, nephew-in-law, niece-in-law, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, brother-in-law, brother-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law. (5) The details required for promotion shall be submitted by the member-secretary of the concerned promotion committee to the promotion committee.
(5a) When recommending for promotion in accordance with this rule, the date of birth to be retained for the purpose of retirement in accordance with sub-rules (3), (4) and (9) of rule 77 shall also be recommended.
(6) The notice recommended by the promotion committee shall be published internally by the head of the military secretary department in the case of officers and the head of the relevant unit in the case of others.
(7) According to this rule, at least a fortnight before any vacancy of a military officer, the promotion committee may publish a notice of recommendation for promotion to fill the post.
